Well, after all these 94 608 000 Seconds, our time at Motion Graphics & Broadcast Design at NYP is over!

It feels great to be wrapping up something that you've put your everything into, but it is also a scary feeling of not knowing what's going to happen next.

I didn't think that I would feel sad to be leaving all this behind, but I was, and I still am! D: All the best friendships, all the craziest and happiest things of my life so far has been from these 3 years.

Though it has been gruelling and really stressful and everything, you can't help but feel sad that another chapter of your life has ended. But another is about to begin.

ARGGH. Well words can't describe what I'm feeling now... so I'll just leave you with some pictures we took from yesterday!

I AM NUMBER FOUR is coming out soon in cinemas, and I can't wait to catch it! :D

Ever since I read the book, I've been thinking, how awesome would it be if this were made into a movie? And now it's really going to hit the big screeens!

What's more, the main cast has some of my favorite actors/actress.

Firstly, Alex Pettyfer who plays the title role of NUMBER FOUR. You may remember him from the movie Stormbreaker, which was also based on another favorite book of mine.

Secondly, Dianna Agron, the ever beautiful and talented star from hit TV series GLEE.

Together, they make the best combo ever! :D

Well, as Disney Studios Singapore is holding a contest to give away some cool I Am Number Four movie premiums, I decided to take part.

First of all, you need to answer a series of 7 questions. Which, if you're a fan of the book, you should be able to answer pretty easily. :)

Answering all questions correctly results in locations popping up on the map. If you look closely, it spells out the final answer needed to qualify. It took me a while to decipher that it actually is a "#" sign. Haha. So, the answer is #4! :)

So, I'm really hoping that I manage to win some cool movie premiums! :)

And hopefully, win a pair of movie tickets to Nuffnang's I Am Number Four Preview screening!

I really hope to win as I'm a huge fan of the book and it would be AWESOME to watch it come to live on the big screen!

HELLO FRIENDS! Haha. Today we went to Pulau Tekong for our National Education model or something.

And I freaking tripped on a pavement and fell on my face! :D Look at my glorious gash.

Urgh. This is annoying. Need a break man! Too much nonsense happening.

Oh and I think today was my first time on a ferry. Quite cool, but also quite weird. Heh.

Good news everybody! I'm baaaaack! Haha.
Not like that's really good news at all, but I've been away from blogging for so long! 71 DAYS TO BE EXACT. D:

I've been extremely busy with school and all the other nonsense that comes with it. So it's great to just take a break from it all sometimes. :)

So last Tuesday we went to celebrate Mia's Belated Birthday. Hoho. Me, Fidy, Jos and Zak took the train down to Bugis to meet up with the rest! :)

Finally reached the location some time later after dinner at Zam Zam, which by the way has really good murtabak! I was so hungry I totally forgot to take pictures. :( Oh well.

randomly decided to catch Resident Evil: Afterlife today in 3D.

anyway while waiting for the theatre to open, saw the Haunted Changi booth.

went to check it out. its actually quite creepy. and I look quite creepy in the photos as well. haha.

Looks pretty cool as it has the 3Hs, Horror, Handheld (Camera, like in Paranormal Activity) and Homemade (It's made in Singapore!). I've also always wanted to shoot something like this, so seeing this is somewhat inspirational. Heh.

Well on to Resident Evil... which by the way, I've watched all of the movies, own some of them on VCD (Old school I know.), and played several of the games. I didn't really expect much after seeing the trailer some time ago... Seemed disappointing somehow.

But DAMN, the movie was AWESOMEEEEEEEEE. :D Action packed almost all the way and the visual effects are kickass!

I was kinda smiling throughout most of the show because it just really feels great watching Milla Jovovich kick some zombie butt. :D

This is also the first time my parents are watching an actual 3D Movie in Cinemas. So kudos for them! :D

Did I mention it was shot in 3D. SHOT. NOT CONVERTED. So it's pretty freaking awesome bullets and axes and glass flying in your face! It was MADE for 3d, watching it in 2d would be doing yourself an injustice!

Okay okay, enough ranting! It's great, go catch it! :D By the way, stay for a while after the credits, there's a bonus scene. :)

back home: bali last day

Well this is the LAST Bali post! :( So sad. Haha. Although there are still underwater photos to be developed and who knows how that will turn out.

So on the second last day or something, we headed to Kuta Square! The area there is pretty cool. I like the whole street feel, and its kinda more urbanized compared to Discovery Mall. If that makes any sense?

There are many shops along the sidewalks, which I really liked. There's Volcom and Rip Curl and Mooks and even D&G!

We went to this quaint little restaurant tucked away beside McDonalds I think. Haha. It's called Little Italy.

The ambience there is really nice and cosy, plus you can sit upstairs which has the open air concept so you can hear the hustle and bustle of the street life down below. The contrast creates an interesting feel.

And look at this. I think that's like $10? Probably. Haha. Don't know if that's a good price, as I don't do "Shisha", but most of the stuff there is supposedly a lot cheaper.

My strawberry milkshake was really good! :)

The food wasn't presented that nicely compared to the other restaurant, and tastes just ordinary. But it was okay overall I guess. The crew there was nice and pleasant.

Here we are! Last day! This is the bed that I slept in for those 4 nights or so. :D It's really nice and comfy and the netting just somehow makes you sleep quite peacefully! :)

So we headed down for the last breakfast there...

And also regrettably, we didn't get to go for the 15 minutes free spa massage thingy. Haha.

Driving to the airport, the sights are just starting to get familiar and you can't help but feel sad to be leaving this place that you've just started to get accustomed to.

Here we are, waiting for our flight at the airport. Wheeeee.
I was hungry, so I got my first try of Baskin Robbins. ITS REALLY GOOD. Almost as good as Ben and Jerry's if I daresay. :D

After some delay and stuff, we finally got on the plane and watched Britain's Next Top Model as we soared through the skies, munching on the free peanuts. HAHAHA.

And at last, we reach SINGAPORE! :D

You know as beautiful as Bali is, I finally understand why the tourists always say Singapore is such a clean, grenn, beautiful city... because when you come back to Singapore, you can see the difference. It just looks a lot better! No offence intended. I really love Bali! :)

It'd be cool to go there again I think. Heh. But hopefully we can travel to other places we've never been to before next time!

Hello! I'm back again! :D And this time with Day Two of the Bali Trip!

So here I am after a not so great night of sleep. :(

Pool looks even better in the morning!

Went to Discovery Shopping Mall to do some shopping! Found some stuff that I liked there. Heh. But I honestly found the place quite boring... I don't know, maybe I expected too much. Hah.

After that we had lunch here, coco bistro. Suppose the food wasn't too bad. Haha.

After that headed to Black Canyon Cafe!

This is my drink! Isn't it cute? Avocado in a shoe. Haha. Besssssst. I was hunting all over Bali for an avocado drink, but couldn't find any cause they weren't in season. But Black Canyon had it! :D

Just beside it is Kuta Beach! Although it's freaking searing hot out there, the view is just amazing! And the sand? Have to quote Ke$ha here: "They go hardcore, and there's glitter on the floor". HAHA. Seriously. The sand sparkles. I swear they put glitter in there or something. :D

After all that hot hot sun, dropped by Starbucks to chill. It's so nice there! :)

And what better way to cool off then to jump into the pool! Hahaha.

let's run away: bali day one

So after much wait, me, my family and cousins finally went on a much needed holiday!

It was night time when we finally reached, so here are some photos from the next day! :)

This is where we stayed for like... 5 days. or was it 4? Don't remember. Haha.

anyway this is the villa we were in, villa 109.

later, we went to see how batik and some other stuff was made. pretty cool and interesting. there's like a lot of work that goes into it!
Then to the rice fields in Ubud. Its really a sight to behold.
But of course, nothing could beat the mountains of Kintamani! Its freaking amazing... and its so cold up there cause you're so high up. The sunlight and the cold breeze. Sighh... there's just nothing like it.
Watermelon juice there was really nice too! If you ever go there, be sure to get seats outside as the inside is filled with houseflies! D: So it's probably a lot safer and cooler outside.

Christine, my cousin, climbing the flight of steps. It's really very steep. You have to overcome the steps just to get to the toilet. Haha.

After trying out some of the Bali coffee and tea and meeting the civet cat, we bumped into this cute little sight! :) hehe. Really adorable.
After that we took a long ride to some beach to have seafood dinner! :D
It's a dream come true for me! Always wanted to have dinner at the beach. Haha.

Did I mention we also caught the sun setting? Wheeeee. :D Chris' Margarita!

Better stop drinking it so much. :X

And after dinner, went back to the villa for some late night swimming. My body isn't that nice to look at, so this is all I'm showing you. Hahaha.

so I've really been wanting to update my blog! but I haven't really had the time. been really busy the past week, what with our final year projects and stuff finally coming to a close. and the whole hoolaballooo that is YOG.

yes our lovely group... we made it after all! :D

and so, now it's finally holiday time for us! SO HAPPY. HAHA. but not really. I don't know, it's like you wait so long for the moment to come, when you can sleep for like 10 hours straight and not have to wake up at ungodly hours in the morning to rush to school. or to esplanade to take down the baybeats installation. heh.

supposed to meet at 930am but at 946am only 3 of us was there! haha.

and then when it's all over. all that's left is just this emptiness. and silence. like there's nothing left to do. and life is SO BORING. haha.

So, I was watching some documentary on LOST just now, and having FINALLY watched the finale of American Idol 9 last night (yes I know I'm slow. I've been busy at work! haha.) I came to the realization that the people on both shows actually look alike?

HAHA. Anyway, all joking aside, I think both Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox are really talented and good people. But, I'm glad Lee won. Have been rooting for him. Haha.:) He's the 3rd American Idol that I've been rooting for that eventually won.

To celebrate Chinese New Year, me and the family went to eat at Marche. Well, its hardly Chinese, but since we already had a good proper Reunion Dinner last week...

Went to watch Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief today! :D

Been looking forward to seeing this movie ever since I saw the trailer, and I certainly wasn't let down.

Despite what some critics are saying, I think it actually IS good. Also, I happen to know some people who thought that they wouldn't like it but ended up liking it.

Overall, the action is great, the comedy is great and the visual effects are superb.

Although it was rather well-paced with little to no draggy parts, I thought it could have been longer. Haha.

Sure, story wise, it may not be as strong as Harry Potter, but everything else makes up for it. Such as the great cast, featuring the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Kevin McKidd (that Grey's Anatomy guy), Rosario Dawson and the main guy Logan Lerman.

Well, anyways I'm gonna give this show an 8 out of 10.

The only thing I'm upset about is that there isn't a video game for the PC or PSP, and only for the NDS which makes no sense at all. Geez. :(

Can't wait for Clash of the Titans next. Wheee. Oh and I apologize for not blogging now a days, have been exceedingly busy with school the past month or so and other things. seriously, we're just kids, they shouldn't be giving us this much sh+t.

Empire State of Mind is probably the song of the year to me. Haha. I don't know, it was playing on the way to the airport, at the airport, in KL, in the KL airport, on my iPod. Day after day, and I just haven't gotten sick of it yet. (:

So exciting since it's been years since I've taken a plane and left Singapore. :D

Well, KL certainly is interesting and beautiful in its own ways, and its also really nice to take photos at. Haha.
Even the shopping centre looks nice. Lovely decorations. Haha. This is at the Pavilion.
They also have tons of gigantic billboards! Something you rarely see in Singapore right? Hmm.

Okay, now for some random photos at the Cosmo Theme Park at Times Square or whatever the name is. Lol. It has probably some of the scariest most heart wrenching theme park rides I've ever been on. GOSH.

Last night, me and edner went to watch Avatar!

Must say, 3D technology has definitely come a long way. Avatar was the most stunningly beautiful and well made movie I have ever seen in years!

The emotions were just captured so well and portrayed so naturally.
Everything was made so believable that the CGI and live action if there was any just blended seamlessly together.
The intimacy between the two main characters was believable as well, something I would assume to be difficult to achieve using CGI? Hmm.
Also, stylistaclly the entire film was just magnificent and beautiful. The colors and the effects. PERFECT :D
PLUS, there's the chick that looks like Tyra Banks.

No?

Oh well. Haha. And also great acting from the cast. Although I felt Michelle's role could have certainly served more purpose and her end could have been more properly thought out.

All in all, great film, I'm giving it 9 out of 10. :)

Well, today after the presentation for AFC, we decided we wanted to go bowling. Haha. It was sort of a random thing.

And this was my very first time having a go at bowling!

Because presentation ended up getting canceled today due to some ridiculous reasons... ended up having the day off. So we were basically chilling all day long. Hah.

Went to play L4D2 with friends, then went to see Ninja Assassin.

I don't know, but it was probably the worst movie with the best visual effects and action scenes I've ever seen in recent years.

I mean seriously, everything just didn't seem to work at all. The bad acting, the lousy script, the boring setting, the pacing and editing of the movie. D: What a waste of money.

And we felt that the teenage characters could emote and act a lot better than the actual cast. Which says quite a lot. :X

Although there was this scene about listening to the heart and he literally placed his face on her chest. I mean... Seriously? HAHA. It was so funny and awkward. But the two were sweet together and probably the only nice part of the story.

BLAHHHH. So sick of everything. As usual. Haha.

And can I tell you about my horrible experience at Raffles City the food place? So I was about to order my food right, then this bitch comes along and cuts the queue (is that how you say it?). So I was pretty pissed as it is. Then when I took my utensils and put them on my tray... guess what? She freaking had the balls to take my utensils and put them on her tray! WTF RIGHT?

Bloody bitch. You better count yourself lucky that I was raised to behave like proper human should, UNLIKE YOU.

IF NOT I WOULD HAVE TAKEN MY TRAY AND SMACKED YOUR HEAD OFF. I SWEAR.

Grr. So, anyway, we went to check out Singapore Design Festival 2009

When we entered the exhibit, the guy mistook us as people from the Media. Haha. :D

Perhaps we look like journalists? Heh. Anyway most of the stuff was really fun and interesting to look at. Fascinating, made your imagination work. :)

Thought this was cute. Haha. Pretty sure I saw this somewhere before though.

Last night, went with Julz, Mia and Zuby to see some presentation/taste testing thing at Starbucks.

Tried Aged Sumatra. Didn't really like it, too bitter for my liking. But the chocolate cheesecake thing was quite nice. :D

And then Zuby and I mixed up our orders, then realized we actually prefered each other's drinks, so we swapped. Haha. My new favorite, Java Chip.

By the way, today is Mia's birthday... :) So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU!

Heya! I think finally we're gonna be free for a while. I hope. Since integrated assignment has just ended. Gosh I'm so tired. Worked on it all the way till like 4am+. T_T

This song used in the movie PUSH kept me going through most of it. Don't know why. Haha. Well, hopefully will be uploading my clip soon. :D Watch out for that.

So sleepy now. Anyway, after presentation we had a movie marathon. Haha. Watched Zombieland and a bit of the Exorcist. Hmm, honestly expected Exorcist to be scarier than it was, watching it now it looks like one of those parody kind of movies. Haha. :X

ZOMBIELAND has its good points and was mostly fun to watch. However the in between scenes where zombies aren't present sort of drag on without a point, acting as fillers perhaps? Really pulls the whole movie down.

The visual effects and motion graphics 3D tracking stuff was really cool in my opinion. Haha.

Watched Coraline halfway as well. Hmm... gotta go watch that show, it's really beautifully done. Heh.

That was probably the most hilariously ridiculous line in Jennifer's Body. Haha. Literally face-palmed.

ANYWAY. School sorta celebrated Halloween today, which was cool because I always wanted to go around and yell "Trick or Treat!" at people. Haha. So it was fun when we finally all said it together. Then realized the office was empty. XD

But we got our candy anyway. Whee haven't had this much candy in a long while.

After presentation, watched Paranormal Activity with Huiyi and Zuby.

Really don't get what all the hype is about.

"one of the most scariest movies of all time" erm, no? I do acknowledge that certain scenes (only about 3) were scary but I wouldn't consider it to be one of the scariest movies of all time. heck, The Ring was scarier than this.

On the other hand, watched Jennifer's Body with Sher and CS after that. And surprisingly it succeeded in scaring me at several points in the movie. Simply shows how bad Paranormal Activity was I guess? Haha.

Well, Jennifer's Body definitely isn't a movie filled with plot, but it certainly has style. And who can turn down a movie with Megan Fox, I mean, come on...

Anyway, generally liked the movie, love how it was shot, the artistic direction was pretty cool...

particularly liked how this scene was shot. HAHAHA. no, really. :P

...and Diablo Cody's writing (she wrote for Juno and United States of Tara which I both enjoyed) is hilariously witty and crazy as always although some lines were just downright silly. :D

Okay really tired. Gosh. Have to start on homework tomorrow. Lots to do. :(

WOW. Stopped watching the show for a long while now as it has just really lost all its appeal and gotten really crapppy. But seriously are they pulling the lesbian card now? I mean everyone knows you only do this sort of things to get in more views.

The scene features Hayden Panettiere aka Claire Bennet the cheerleader making out with co-star Madeline Zima, who plays her room-mate Gretchen.

With viewership steadily dropping each season, I wonder how much longer this show's gonna last. Axing Kristen Bell totally killed the show for me, to be honest.

Well, do wish it good luck though, it was my favorite show when it first came out in 2006. Yeah I saw it before all you people got in on the craze. Just saying. Haha.

Anyway, I know I haven't been posting much, and I apologize for that. Just haven't had the mood and feeling quite lousy and stuff as the days go by. Haha. Too much lazing really isn't good at all.

Well, so what have I been doing during the holidays? Kinda been learning how to swim, eating, sleeping, exercising, watching shows and getting fat. :D

Met up with Chris that day to go swimming. And after the long swim we were starving so we tried out the Naked Fish Shoppe.

The food is really good and like served in great portions. The staff were very friendly as well and always available when needed.

And sometime ago I happened to be at Sembawang Shopping Centre, and coincidentally there was the Singapore Idol roadshow. Can't really decide who I'm rooting for this season, but probably Charles and Tabitha.

Charles is generally okay, but ew he was horrible this week. Sezairi did pretty well.

And this was more recently. Went with Chris, CS and Sher to go swimming at Orchid Country Club. Treat from Chris. Haha. That place is so niceee. And the pools are pretty awesome. The shower isn't creepy like the YCK ones. D:

After that we were starving (Note: Swimming probably makes you slim and then fat all in one go.) so we headed to Sembawang Shopping Centre and ate at ASTONS!

Rather affordable and awesome food there although service can be quite slow at times. :X

anyway, finally got to see The Final Destination 3D! So awesome. Have been waiting forever to catch it! :D

And it was so impromptu as usual. Haha. Left the house at like 4:40pm? When the show starts at 5:30. Reached at 5:28 and still managed to get the best seats ever.

3D is really phenomenal! It feels like you're really there and when things fly towards the camera you literally instinctively feel like ducking away in terror. Gahhhh. Wish all movies were like that.

Plot wise, what's to say? It's Final Destination. You go in knowing everyone's most certainly going to die, but it's still fun to watch anyway. :)

Then went to Taka to have dinner. Woohoo. My set meal.

Finally got to see it today! Went with Jasmine, Randy, QH & Hito. Hahaha. Have been excited to see it ever since I saw the trailer, and now that I have, I'm not disappointed at all. :D
I have to say the storyline, though not exactly great, wasn't your typical kind of storyline. Thought it was interesting and done in a refreshing way. Think some of the stuff seen here hasn't been done in any movie before?

Anyway, you probably can tell that I loved the movie. Probably because it features some of my favorite actors. Mainly being Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Thought Joseph's performance was rather good in this movie. :D

Oh yeah, not to forget, my two favorite characters in the movie. Haha. Scarlet and Storm Shadow. They're so cool. :D

You might remember her from P2, which was quite a bad film. Haha. But she looks so much better here. :D

Went to see UP with HuiYi today. I honestly don't get what all the good reviews are up. Sure, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. I mean, it was cute and made me laugh at points, but the storyline was so unimaginative and flat with an expected ending.

Even some parts were just so draggy and empty such that people were dozing off in the cinema. And I know it's a kids show, but after setting so much of it in the real world and then suddenly shifting into a far-fetched make believe sort of story line... just didn't help. Definitely not a WALL·E.

The short movie before that, Partly Cloudy, in my opinion was a lot more better and entertaining and garnered more awwws and laughter from the audience.

Oh well. 6/10

Have been so excited and all the anticipation. Hmm...I can't say that it was spectacular, but it definitely wasn't bad. The only major thing missing for me was the funeral scene. However, heard that it would be in the next movie? Who knows.

Anyway, the movie was fun and well shot. I think it had more emotional, moving scenes then ever before?

Harper's Island is finally over! And while it was good for a while, it lost it's edge halfway through.

And yeah, the true killer was totally not a surprise at all. The reasoning behind the killings were even more far out. But still, even though the last episode just felt like it was made for the sake of being made, I'm quite happy with the ending.

:D I really hope they WON'T make another season. Unless if they can come up with a true shocker of an ending.

Transformers ROTF Opening Credits

Well, the show wasn't as great as the first one in my opinion. But it wasn't a disappointment either. There's probably like twice the action, more explosions, and more robots. Haha. Wow, the cars are like all super nice, and the new robots are so cool. :D

I also like Megan Fox so much more after this movie. Her acting capability seems to have improved a lot here. Plus, she's still so hottttttt. XD
Hahaha. I think she managed to pull the whole show together, what with all her screaming and crying. Otherwise the most of it was rather flat. Focusing more on the special effects than on the storyline.

Blah. And I didn't see any point for Isabel Lucas' role as Alice.

I mean, come on, you could tell her intention from the start, and her role ended so quickly.

Or was that what they were going for? Should have gotten a better actress. She just looked possessed most of the time. :X Once again, just my opinion.
The humor and comedy injected in by Sams parents and Leo really got everyone laughing. :D
Although seriously, they must have used Linkin Park's New Divide and Green Day's 21 Guns like a hundred times throughout the movie. -_- so lame.

Anyway, I would give it a 7/10.

Today there was no school. Kinda. Awesome anyways, haha, because we went to the National Museum of Singapore for the Christian Lacroix exhibit.

Christian is a is a high-end French fashion designer. If I'm not wrong, he made costumes for theater and stage plays and is now doing fashion or something and also has his own fragrance. Haha how cool is that huh?

Interesting fact, he has the same birthday as me. :D

this is my retard face. hahaha.before we went into the Christian Lacroix exhibition, we went to see Verner Panton's furniture exhibit. Pretty cool. Then there was this place where you had to wear "feet-bags" and sanitize your hands before entering.

Anyways, here are the cool costumes. The story behind most of them is really interesting. Learned a lot from going to such an exhibit for the first time. Haha.

I guess because our guide was really well read and knew her stuff.

Well, yesterday in school my friends suddenly came in with a slice of cake with a candle on top and sang Happy Birthday. So sweet uh. Haha. I was really surprised :D

woahh... finally today felt like I was in Year One again! Haha. The ability to lepak at the void deck during break has been greatly missed, and today was finally able to do it again.

Ashton, Mia and I slacked at the void deck and Mia and I had lunch of a chocolate bar and milk tea. HAHA. But it's really the best thing in the world to just sit there without a care in the world and talk about anything and everything.

Talk till you lose track of time. And also finding out all these new things about people that you never knew before.
